I'm excited to announce that I am running for New Iberia Mayor Pro-Tem in the fall election. I want to continue the great progress being made in New Iberia.
As an invested Iberian, my positive involvement in our community touches three areas: education, the arts and preservation.
A teacher of over twenty-five years, I truly understand the challenges and successes of our youth. As a traveling teacher, I service five to eight different schools throughout each district. The cross section of New Iberia is vast and many areas need addressing.
I've been a small business owner for over 10 years and understand the challenges. My gallery has been a hub and gathering place for artists, authors and performers. New Iberia has such a diverse mix of talent. We need to continue to celebrate it and market our brand nationally.
Preserving our culture and history has been a passion of mine for decades. I'm proud to be involved with the Bayou Teche Museum and the George Rodrigue Park. My work with landowners, engineers and local/state officials has been invaluable. Planning a downtown park from start to finish is one example of my drive, determination and success. Bringing people together and collaborating is my goal as New Iberia's next Mayor Pro-Tem.
I am asking for your support and contribution to my campaign. Please join my team and help me bring even more success to our bayou town.
